The Christian Union organise and host a variety of regular weekly events, as well as many special one-off events over the course of the year to serve students at Imperial and to work towards making sure that all students have the opportunity to respond to the Gospel.
Find out about upcoming events using the calendar below, and have a read about our regular events.
Wednesday 1 November 2017 @ 13:00 pm - 14:00 pm
Investigating the life and claims of Jesus Christ in Luke’s Gospel.
The group is also a forum where wider questions are welcome and discussion encouraged.
We have five regular events which take place every week during term-time:
Skeptical is a space where we try and discuss openly and honestly how the Bible responds to issues such as suffering, or science and religion. There will be a short talk from a speaker, and then a Q&A, all over a completely free lunch, provided by the Christian Union.
When and Where: 12:00, Royal School of Mines
The Globe Café is a welcoming and relaxed weekly get-together where we socialise over board games, eat cake and drink tea. We believe that International Students should feel welcomed to London and have a chance to meet and befriend Brits. If you want to practise your English with native speakers, you are also more than welcome to join us.
There is a chance to learn more about the Christian faith by reading the Bible. This term we will be going through the Christianity explored course. Everyone is welcome!
When and Where: 15:00-17:00, Chaplaincy (10 Princes Gardens, SW7 1NA)
A discussion group investigating the life and claims of Jesus Christ in Luke’s Gospel. No pressure to believe, just come, read and discuss.
This group is ideal if you are looking to investigate for yourself, the claims of Christianity.
It is also a forum where wider questions are welcome!
When and Where: 13:00-14:00, See ICCU Facebook Page for location details, or contact Jonny Tilford
HUB is our main meeting as a CU. Our passion as a CU is to make HUB a place where Christians are equipped and encouraged for evangelism, by the gospel, while enabling anyone who wouldn’t call themselves a Christian to hear and learn more about the great message of Jesus.
We meet together weekly to sing, pray, hear the Bible read and taught to us, encourage one another in our evangelism and to chill out with each other, usually over pizza and refreshments! HUB is a great opportunity to connect with others, motivating and encouraging one another to go out and spread the gospel on campus.
When and Where: Arrive from 18:00, Start at 18:15, Huxley LT 311
Every Friday morning we’ll be having prayer breakfasts! This is where we get together before college starts to pray about the CU and the wider world. And if waking up early isn’t your thing, it’s still worth it, since there may be bacon!
When and Where: 08:00, Chaplaincy (10 Princes Gardens, SW7 1NA)
